Cool For School- Yoplait Greek Style Yogurt Review and Giveaway

One of the most popular food items in my house is yogurt. My kids and I both love yogurt. With school starting, I know that yogurts will be something that we eat either for breakfast or a snack. I was very excited when I was asked to try the new Yoplait Greek Style yogurt. I got to try the Honey Vanilla and Plain flavors.

Each cup has two times the protein of the leading yogurts. It is an excellent source of calcium and is made of milk from cows not treated with rBST. It has zero grams of fat and zero grams of saturated fat. With all of the nutritional benefits it has to offer, I was thrilled that my children like it as well.

There are 4 flavors to choose from Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla, and Plain.

I liked the Honey Vanilla. Greek yogurt is known for its thick and creamy texture. The Yoplait Greek style did not disappoint. It has a very light flavor. It is not over overpoweringly sweet. It was great with a little bit of granola on top. It made for a great breakfast that was fast, easy, and nutritious.

The plain variety I loved as well. It is so versatile to use in recipes. There is a great recipe for Tzatziki Sauce that takes about 20 minutes to make.

Tzatziki Sauce:

1 container (6 oz.) Yoplait Greek plain yogurt
1/4 c chopped cucumber
2 tbsp. chopped red onion
2 tbsp. chopped fresh dill or 1 tsp. dried dill
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice

Mix all of the ingredients together. I like to let mine chill for about an hour before serving. But, you could mix and serve.

You can use this sauce on burgers, gyros, or just as a dip with fresh vegetables or crackers. Check out the Yoplait Greek website for more recipes.

Yoplait has graciously given me 2 coupons to give away to 2 lucky followers. Each winner will receive 1 VIP Coupon. Visit Yoplait Greek website Just leave a comment telling me which flavor or recipe you would like to try. The giveaway will end on August 27,2010.
