Ecover Review and Giveaway!
This year my family and I have been making an effort to go "greener". In our effort to become more green, we have been trying to find cleaning products that are environmentally friendly.
I was thrilled with the chance to try Ecover All Purpose cleaner. Ecover produces their washing and cleaning products in an ecological, economic and socially responsible way in a unique ecological factory.
The cleaner comes in a 32 oz bottle. The ingredients list is very short! Water, non-ionic surfactants, fatty acid, alcohol, citrate, lactic acid, glyceryl caprylate, fragrance (lemon).
As stated on the bottle, it is fast and complete biodegradility. The cleaner has minimal impact on aquatic life, and is not tested on animals.
I absolutely love the smell of the All Purpose Cleaner! When you open the bottle you are greeted with this amazing fresh lemon smell. It is like someone cut open a real lemon and left it sitting on the counter. The fragrance is fresh plant based. I am a sucker for a citrus fragrances, so that immediately had my attention!
1 cap full equals 1 fl oz. It is recommended you use 1-2 cap fulls in a half a bucket of water. I mixed mine that way, then poured it into a spray bottle. I used it to mop my linoleum floors and to clean my counter tops. I was very pleased with the overall cleaning power of Ecover.
At around $5 per bottle, I think it is reasonably priced and will last a few months. It is a versatile cleaner that can be used in the kitchen, bathroom, or just about anywhere. You will love the fresh clean smell when you are finished cleaning.

My family has, in the past, been negligent in regard to recycling. Sure, we've recycled our deposit bottles and newspapers, but during a recent trip to our local recycling center, I was stunned by all the products accepted.
ReplyDeleteI knew I needed to come up with a spot for glass and tin, but once we started recycling everything we could drop off at the center, our trash output per week dropped 90%!
Biggest culprits in my household were paper and board box (cereal boxes & the like).
I'm really proud of my families efforts at going green this year and of the example I'm setting for my children.
Our newest project is converting to green household products so I really appreciate this intro and opportunity!

So important to go greener and have a clean Earth for our children. Thanks for the chance to win. reviewedbymom@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI really want my children to learn to be green at an early age so they will have all the natural resources they need when they get older. I don't remember all these diseases and things when I was younger so I hate to see what their world will be like if we don't make some changes

We only have so many resources and and in today's society we are always looking for more convenience. Because of this there isn't any thought to how it impacts the earth. I am trying to teach my daughter early that simple things like recycling can help to give back.

For me being "green" is an extension of being less wasteful. So many things are disposable these days, including much of our income, and eventually that kind of living takes a toll, whether in debt, or loss of health.

I feel it is so important to live green because otherwise I feel like I'm trashing my living space, I'm poisoning my family and I certainly am not being a positive influence in that area of our lives.
